So, if you didn't know already, I've been enlisted in the Marine Corps since around last December - January. Originally, I was suppose to leave to boot camp, which is at Paris Island, South Carolina, on Aug. 10th. Buuut, my date got pushed back at around the end of July. I was told that I'd ship out before Oct. 1st. Well guuuuesssss what! It's September. AKA the month before October. Today when I went to PT, the recruiter that runs the recruitment office here in Lakeland was all like "you ready to go man? you're leaving soon. you better be ready man. the day is coming up here soon." He always says that when he sees me, but he never gives me a date. So, I ask him "when? what day?" "The 14th." he says.



I leave September 14th to boot camp. So yea, this is kind of sooner than I expected. If you want me to write you letters and shit while I'm at boot camp (which will be around 13 weeks long by the way), please please please give me your address. I will NEED people to write. You don't have to though.

Call that waiting til the last minute to tell you the date, 10 days notice, but glad you get to get it over with.
