Punkbuster Update

For those of you that are getting a Punkbuster Error upon joining any server (Not just Raging Angels), do the following to see if this fixes your issue.



1.) Download [URL="http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloader/download.php?file=1"]pbsetup[/URL].

2.) Download [URL="http://demos.theweekendwarriors.net/pbgame.zip"]pbgame.zip[/URL].

3.) Extract zip file to the same directory as pbsetup.exe.

4.) Run pbsetup.exe and follow the directions from [URL="http://www.evenbalance.com/?page=pbsetup.php"]here[/URL].

5.) Download and run [URL="http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe"]pbsvc.exe[/URL]



See if this doesn't fix your issue and resolve the errors upon joining.

With the latest Win10 update, once it installed I lost PB for BF2 (I don not know why), and whenever I logged in to any BF2 server, I would get kicked after a few minutes. Followed this advice from Boss, but to no avail.....the pbsetup does not include BF2 as a game it supports any more. Sent a ticket to PB. Following is my request, and their response:



I am getting kicked from a Battlefield 2 server - "Server requires (A1393 C2.306) _ Error Loading pbag"

I'm sorry, but Even Balance is no longer supporting PunkBuster for Battlefield 2. You will need to contact EA/DICE directly for support regarding PunkBuster.

Which, of course, is no help. What I did to correct the situation was to go to another computer that has BF2 loaded that works, and copied the PB folder in the BF2 folder in Origin Games, and all is well.

PunkBuster Reports *R|A* Server Is Running The Old Version C2.181 And Requires The New Version (A1392 C2.181)

What’s Happening IS: ANY Player That Has UPDATED There Rig To The Newest Version OF PB (A1392 C2.181) Gets Kicked After 1 Min

With Error Loading PBAG. And The Reason Why. We Keep Getting PB Complaints From Players Joining. About Server Running OLD Version.

The PB Auto Update Utility On The Game Control Panel At Fragnet Is Disabled BECAUSE :

The button doesn't work, as it connects to the PB website, but they no longer host the BF2 Punkbuster files ( as the game is no longer supported) why the tool can't update the files.

I’m Still Researching This Rick: This Is What I’ve Gathered SO FAR

Bottom Line: Until we Can Manually Update PB On The “Server” End. ANYBODY That Has Updated PB With The New Version (A1392 C2.181) Will Not Be ABLE To Join Any Server Running The Previous Older Version C2.181 And Gets Kicked After 1 Min With Error Loading PBAG. I Haven’t Had Time To Check “RVBF2 Battelog Forums” (My Next Step) For Any “OTHER FIX” That May Circumvent This .
